Nature's Solar Power and How it is Revolutionizing Agriculture"

Image
Solar power is revolutionizing agriculture by providing a sustainable, cost-effective, and efficient energy source. This transformation is helping to modernize farming practices, enhance productivity, and promote environmental sustainability. Solar-powered irrigation: Solar water pumps: these pumps use solar panels to draw water from wells, rivers, or reservoirs, providing a reliable water source for irrigation even in remote areas. Drip and sprinkler irrigation systems: solar energy powers these systems, ensuring precise water delivery to crops, reducing water waste, and improving crop yields. Solar greenhouses: Greenhouses equipped with solar panels generate their own electricity, reducing dependency on external power sources. These greenhouses can maintain optimal growing conditions year-round, increasing the production of high-value crops. Solar-powered machinery: Solar energy can power electric tractors, harvesters, and other farm machinery, reducing reliance

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOAL 13: CLIMATE CHANGE

Image
Climate Change is defined as the change of climate which is attributed directly or indirectly to human activity that alters the composition of the global atmosphere and which is in addition to natural climate. Climate change threatens many of humanity’s biggest achievements as well as its future goals - goals reflected in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The world continues to experience rising sea levels, extreme weather conditions and increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases.   Climate change is a crosscutting and immediate threat to the achievement of the SDGs, and to the survival and well-being of island nations and coastal communities. This calls for urgent and accelerated action by countries as they implement the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. This also provides the biggest opportunity for positive, systemic change that will ensure resilient societies, productive economies, and healthy environment for present and future generations. A

Sustainable Development Goal 12: Ensuring sustainable consumption and production

Image
Sustainable Development Goal 12 which is ensuring sustainable consumption and production patterns promotes increased human well-being while decoupling economic growth from resource use and environmental degradation. This helps in increase access of least developed countries to needed expertise and finance to achieve sustainable economic growth and identify opportunities for green growth. The way in which societies use and care for natural resources fundamentally shapes the well-being of humanity, the environment and the economy. One of the core objectives of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is to decouple economic growth from resource use and environmental degradation, notably through improved resource efficiency. SDG 12 encapsulates the entire sustainable development paradigm at the local, national, regional and global levels. Much of the world’s economy is based around producing things for consumption. This drives the engine of industry.   If we want the

Drones: Our sight with technology

Image
Drones which are sometimes referred to as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), carry out tasks that range from the mundane to the ultra-dangerous. Drones can be as large as an aircraft or as small as the palm of your hand. A drone’s autonomy level can range from remotely piloted (a human controls its movements) to advanced autonomy, which means that it relies on a system of sensors and LiDAR detectors to calculate its movement. Because drones can be controlled remotely and can be flown at varying distances and heights, they make perfect candidates to take on some of the toughest jobs in the world. Drones rely on a combination of hardware and software components to achieve successful takeoff, flight and landing. Drones depend on a number of parts working together in order to complete tasks under changing conditions. Drones fly using the quad copter’s four propellers.  When the propellers spin, they push air down.  Similar to a helicopter, pushing the air down is the action
